Job Summary :
We are looking for a Junior Data Center Engineer to support day-to-day operations within our data center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for rack and stack of servers and network devices, cabling, troubleshooting, and collaborating with remote system admin teams . Additionally, this role involves monitoring power and PDUs, replacing server parts, and handling Dell server case submissions and log management .
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform rack and stack of servers, storage, and networking devices.
- Handle cabling tasks, including fiber and Ethernet cabling, ensuring proper cable management.
- Troubleshoot hardware and network issues in collaboration with remote system admin teams.
- Monitor power usage, PDUs, and environmental factors to ensure optimal data center operations.
- Replace parts in Dell servers and submit service requests with Dell, including log submissions.
- Utilize iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) or other remote management tools for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Configure and troubleshoot RAID, BIOS, and perform basic OS installations on servers.
- Assist in network troubleshooting , including connectivity and configuration issues.
- Document all activities and maintain up-to-date records of inventory and troubleshooting steps.
