Qualys is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director, Product Marketing, Cloud Security. This role will be responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging of our cloud security products and services. As a senior leader, you will work closely with product management, sales, and customer success teams to define product strategy, create compelling value propositions, and lead initiatives that accelerate customer acquisition and revenue growth. The Senior Director will also oversee the development of thought leadership and high-impact content that drives market differentiation and enhances brand perception in the competitive cloud security landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution : Lead the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for cloud security products, including market analysis, segmentation, and competitive positioning to capture market share and achieve business objectives.
  • Product Positioning & Messaging : Craft clear, compelling, and differentiated messaging that resonates with target customers across various verticals and geographic regions. Ensure product messaging is consistent across all marketing channels and aligns with customer pain points and business outcomes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner with product management, sales, and engineering teams to align product features and roadmap with customer needs and market demands. Provide leadership and insights for product launches, pricing, and promotions.
  • Thought Leadership & Content Creation : Lead the creation of content that drives thought leadership, including white papers, blog posts, case studies, webinars, and industry reports. Position the company as a trusted authority in cloud security.
  • Sales Enablement : Develop and deliver tools, training, and materials to empower sales teams with effective messaging and positioning. Work closely with sales leaders to drive high-quality leads and increase sales effectiveness.
  • Customer and Market Insights : Conduct in-depth research on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform product strategy and marketing initiatives. Gather and synthesize feedback from customers to continuously improve product offerings.
  • Brand Development : Oversee brand development and positioning for cloud security products, ensuring consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints, including digital, events, and advertising.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting : Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for product marketing success, track performance, and report regularly on campaign results, ROI, and overall marketing effectiveness.

Qualifications :

  • Experience :
  • 10 years of product marketing experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles, preferably within cloud security or a related field.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing go-to-market strategies for complex products in the technology or cybersecurity industry.
  • Expertise in cloud security technologies and solutions (e.g., network security, identity and access management, threat detection, data protection, etc.).
  • Skills :
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across multiple teams.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling customer-facing messaging.
  • Ability to analyze market data, customer feedback, and industry trends to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

    Annual Salary Guidelines : $240,000 - $260,000
