Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Superintendent to manage job sites in the Abingdon, MD area. The ideal candidate will oversee project management, coordination, and execution of all construction efforts as the leader of the project site and Quandel representative to all project parties.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review project plans with the Project Manager and key team members to identify potential cost savings opportunities and probable execution strategies.
- Determine a construction schedule for assigned projects in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Manage job site operations daily, ensuring efficient execution of tasks and meeting key milestones.
- Provide quality leadership, a sense of ownership, and commitment to constantly improve business practices.
- Collaborate effectively among colleagues, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and communities.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of industry construction experience with projects from $2 million to $20 million.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Superintendent required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using ERP or project management systems like Viewpoint or Smartbid, Adobe Docs, AIA, BlueBeam, and document sharing programs like Box.com, Dropbox, or Google Drive.
- Prior exposure to construction management practices.
- Ability to drive schedules and subcontractors to meet or exceed key milestones during the project.
