What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Window Roller position at Quanex Homeshield LLC?
Quanex is looking for a Window Roller to join our team located in Chehalis, WA. This is a second shift position, Monday through Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm.
The salary range for this position is from 19.50/hr - 25.35/hr DOE.
The Window Roller is responsible for working with team members to install screen mesh into window screen frames and properly sequencing orders.

What Success Looks Like:
This description represents the most significant job duties but does not exclude other work duties that may be assigned as needed.
- Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.
- Read build instructions from computer monitor ensuring proper length, type and color of materials.
- Eventual cross training to ensure proficiency in neighboring positions.
- Verify size, color, customer, configuration (hardware), according to labeling system.
- Ensure standard work adherence.
- Apply labels to frame upon completion.
- Properly securing door screen frames to rolling table and applying screen appropriately.
- Visually inspect for defects throughout process.
- Chooses appropriate cloth types according to specification tag.
- Using hand rolling, sharp knife, and pneumatic tools to secure cloth and accessories to frame.
- Sequencing into shipping cart or pallet.
- Follows all standard operating procedures and notifies the supervisor of potential procedural improvements.
- Meet or exceed the production standards for the position.
- Perform related work as required.
- Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player.
What You Bring:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to stand throughout the full shift.
- Ability to use hand tools including tape measure air drill, pneumatics fixed straight-cut saw.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal directions.
- Ability to perform repetitive work requiring high levels of concentration.
- Must have flexibility to work occasional overtime or additional shift.
- Strict adherence to safety policies.
