Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join our team located in Ankeny IA.
The Maintenance Technician II assists with troubleshooting and repairing operations equipment. This position will require travel the first two months of employment for training purposes.

What Success Looks Like:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.
- Collaborate with other team members to address maintenance needs.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
Your Credentials:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
The pay range for this position is $28.00/hr - $35.00/hr.
