In this position, you will be responsible for supporting multiple plant operations through sourcing and procurement of materials and services.

What Success Looks Like:
Generates requisitions from all departments to purchase all goods and services with established vendors.
Tracks purchases daily to ensure product arrives as confirmed.
Revises purchase orders in the system with any changes to maintain the integrity of our ERP.
Reviews and assist in in the approval of vendors regarding the best costs, terms and services.
Tracks market conditions, price trends and future markets for aluminum and steel.
Meets with vendors to maintain relationship and ensure the best possible service to Quanex.
Conduct searches for product and or material upon request.
Resolves delivery and invoice issues as needed.
Follows all SOX policies and procedures.
Maintains records retention pertaining to SOX. Coordinate with internal customers on the sourcing and purchase of non-ERP requirements to assure best value for Quanex while meeting customer needs.
Your Credentials:
- 2 years of purchasing experience.
- Experience with vendor management and negotiations.
- Ability to travel to other local Quanex facilities up to 20%.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with a variety of audiences.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000 w/ bonus potential.
