The Cost Accountant is responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and complete inventory valuation, and product cost information. This position plays a key role in maintaining and updating Quanex Custom Component's inventory system and cost information used to determine product profitability and pricing decisions.

What Success Looks Like:
- Deliver accurate and timely inventory valuation
- Provide costing of all products in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare profitability analysis and review of product margins
- Prepare and complete quarterly standard cost role related to changes in raw material cost
- Drive continuous improvement and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation
- Perform monthly accounting closure procedures to include journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Business-minded with effective communication skills; analyze and interpret and present financial data
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Your Credentials:
- 3 years of cost accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- ERP system experience
- Experience in manufacturing accounting and SOX preferred but not required
Salary: $58,000 - $85,000 annually, based on experience plus bonus
