Job Title: Data Modeler
Location: Dallas TX/Charlotte NC/Hybrid
Note : "Only W2 Position" -- NO C2c
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create logical and physical data models using Erwin to visually represent entities, attributes, relationships, and constraints specific to banking operations.
- Strong Experience in Meta Data and SQL and "ERWIN"
- Translate banking business needs into data models to support data marts.
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models according to data modelling policy standards tailored for the banking industry.
- Optimize and update existing data models to improve efficiency and performance in banking data systems.
- Collaborate with data architects to understand the existing banking data landscape and make informed design decisions.
- Review and analyse data-related system integration challenges within banking systems and propose appropriate solutions.
- Serve as a point of contact for technical resources such as data integration specialists, BI developers, and data scientists regarding banking data model understanding.
Required Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in metadata management, data modelling, and related tools.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler or equivalent tools like ER Studio.
- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional modelling concepts.
- Thorough knowledge of the banking industry domain, banking business architecture, and banking industry data models.
- Experience in designing data models based on legacy mainframe systems and transforming them into modern data architectures.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data warehouse architectures, ETL principles, and BI semantic modelling.
- Familiarity with SQL and data analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of data governance and quality management practices.
