Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect (Technical) to lead the enhancement of our existing SaaS IP. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, particularly in API design, cloud architecture (AWS), RDBMS, authentication protocols, and full-stack technologies. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams, customers, and stakeholders to define, develop, and optimize SaaS capabilities for scalability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Management & Strategy
- Define and execute the product roadmap to enhance SaaS platform capabilities.
- Drive feature prioritization based on customer needs, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, UI/UX, sales, marketing) to deliver impactful solutions.
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive positioning of the SaaS solution.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and compliance of the product architecture.
- Solution Architecture & Design
- Architect and optimize the RESTful APIs with best practices in OData, JSON, and XML.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of AWS infrastructure (RDS, EC2, S3).
- Define standards for API gateways, networking, load balancing, and security (OAuth, SAML).
- Provide database architecture guidance (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL).
- Work with engineering teams to implement authentication & authorization mechanisms.
- Ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS).
- Technical Leadership & Development
- Define best practices for API development, documentation, and testing (Postman, Swagger).
- Provide guidance on containerization and application servers (JDK, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere).
- Lead architecture reviews and ensure high performance & security standards.
- Troubleshoot complex system integrations and cloud performance issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor s/Master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in Product Management, Solution Architecture, or a similar technical role.
- Strong hands-on experience with REST API, OData, JSON, XML.
- Expertise in AWS cloud services (RDS, EC2, S3).
- Solid understanding of networking, routing, load balancers, API gateways, and security protocols.
- Proficiency with Postman, Swagger for API testing and documentation.
- Knowledge of OAuth, SAML authentication mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL databases.
- Experience with JDK, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere application servers.
- Strong knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in scaling SaaS applications for enterprise customers.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools for cloud automation.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and containerization.
- Previous experience working in B2B SaaS platforms.
