Learning and Development Instructor

Position Summary:

The L&D Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging and effective training sessions to SNE (Salaried Non-Exempt) and Exempt employees across a variety of topics, including company policies, HR processes, and soft skills. This role requires a dynamic facilitator who can quickly learn and present new content with confidence. The Training Instructor will spend approximately 80% of their time leading classroom-based training, ensuring employees receive high-quality instruction that enhances their knowledge, skills, and professional development.

Essential Functions:

• Facilitate instructor-led training sessions for SNE and Exempt employees on a range of topics, including but not limited to soft skills, HR processes, company policies, and other business-related subjects.
• Quickly familiarize themselves with new content areas and confidently present material, even on unfamiliar topics.
• Adapt training delivery methods to accommodate different learning styles and engagement levels.
• Maintain a strong classroom presence, fostering an inclusive and interactive learning environment.
• Evaluate and assess participant understanding through discussions, exercises, and knowledge checks.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and HR professionals to refine and improve training content.
• Assist in the development and updating of training materials, presentations, and learning resources as needed.
• Provide feedback and coaching to employees to reinforce key learning objectives.
• Track training attendance and document participation records to ensure compliance with company training requirements.
• Stay current with best practices in adult learning and corporate training methodologies.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree or higher heavily preferred.
• 2 years of experience in training, facilitation, or corporate learning and development.
• Experience presenting to diverse employee groups, including salaried and exempt professionals.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to be onsite a minimum of 40 hours per week; this is a fully onsite position.
• Exceptional English skills, both written and spoken. Fluency in other languages a plus, Spanish, Swahili, Arabic preferred.
• Ability to facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions as needed.
• Ability to travel to buildings in the corporate footprint – 15 mile radius.
• Familiarity with corporate HR processes and company policies is a plus.
• Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage and connect with an audience.
• Strong adaptability to quickly learn and deliver new topics with confidence.
• Ability to simplify complex information and communicate it effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Proficiency in using presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides) and virtual training platforms.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple training sessions.
• Ability to assess learner needs and adjust training approaches accordingly.

• Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
• Ability to stand and present for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day).
• Frequent speaking, listening, and engaging in interactive discussions.
• Occasional lifting of materials such as training manuals, projectors, or presentation equipment (up to 20 lbs).
• Use of a computer and other office equipment for preparing training materials.
