JOB TITLE: Scheduler

POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Scheduler with a strong background in construction project scheduling and experience with Primavera P6. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed project schedules to support effective project execution and timely completion. This role plays a critical part in coordinating with project teams to ensure schedules reflect accurate progress, resource needs, and potential risks.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain detailed construction project schedules using Primavera P6
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to gather scheduling data and updates
- Analyze schedule performance, identify risks, and provide mitigation recommendations
- Perform schedule impact analysis for change orders, delays, and other project disruptions
- Ensure schedules align with project scope, budget, and contractual requirements
- Create resource- and cost-loaded schedules when needed
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and dashboards for internal and client review
- Maintain baseline schedules and track performance against them
- Support project planning efforts during pre-construction and throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with company and client scheduling standards and procedures
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction scheduling with a focus on Primavera P6
- Proven experience working on large-scale construction projects (commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or similar)
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, and dependencies
- Ability to analyze and interpret project drawings and specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with earned value management (EVM) and schedule risk analysis is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Preferred Certifications (a plus, not required):
- PMI-SP (PMI Scheduling Professional)
- PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) – AACE
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
