What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Maintenance Tech Associate position at Quanta Manufacturing Nashville, LLC?
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and support production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect machinery and equipment per Preventive Maintenance program;
- Identify and log issues;
- Make repairs as needed with the goal of keeping production running smoothly;
- Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
- Troubleshoot electrical wiring through use of provided tools and schematics;
- Monitor automation systems;
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, changing bearings, belts, motors, VFD’s, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), safety doors and curtains;
- Identify and report potential safety hazards;
- Other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification;
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a similar role or coursework;
- General understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques;
- Working knowledge of conveyor systems, VFD’s and tracking of belts;
- PLC experience preferred;
- Robot experience a plus.
