What are the responsibilities and job description for the ECN BOM Engineer position at Quanta Manufacturing Nashville, LLC?
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
ECN/BOM Engineer will coordinate Parts Data Management through all phases of product lifecycle, NPI, Sustaining and EOL. Management, control and administration of ECN activity to update and maintain all BOMs and other documentation related to Parts Management function. Liaise with Customer and Quanta Corporate Engineering to ensure all product information is current and consistent. Maintain internal parts management identification and maintenance systems
Release new product documentation for manufacturing/service including bill of materials, customer documentation, Work Instructions and procedures related to Parts Data Management and Parts Identification, assembly drawings and other production documents including quality data. Coordinate Engineering Change Notice and New Product Introductions and develop and perform training as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage product from implementation through end of life.
- Support rollout of new products and upload of parts data management function
- ECN Coordination and Implementation for Nashville facility
- Develop and document operating procedures and work instructions relating to Parts Identification and Management systems
- Provide engineering support for parts substitutions and alternates
- Create and maintain accurate BOM's
- Ensure smooth roll out as new products are transitioned from development to production
- Provide training as needed to support Operations
- Maintain specific courses of action while exhibiting high motivation and a sense of urgency
- Take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues
- Development of procedures and work instructions related to Parts Data Mgmt and Parts Identification
- Operational Support on Engineering Hold Issues related to Parts ID.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associates degree in engineering or business
- Min 2 – 3 years of manufacturing/service experience
- Experience with ECN, BOM Management and New Product Introduction
