What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Engineering Tech position at Quanta Manufacturing Nashville, LLC?
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To assist Engineering with troubleshooting day to day production floor issues, provide PE support to Ops Team, follow up on NPI builds and activity, updating and creating assembly SOPs & Visual Aids, Operations Training, Reworks for CCBU.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and Update SOPs for CCBU.
Assist engineering with special process improvement projects.
Assist in the implementation of ECN’s and reworks needed for production.
Provide Training to Operations regarding new products and processes.
Take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to reason, even when dealing with emotional topics
Work with cross functional teams to develop and implement process improvement projects.
Collect, maintain and analyze data and metrics to improve TAT and FPY.
Support Ops Team on day to day system issues.
Assist engineering in the system maintenance and product setup.
Provide maintenance support on engineering equipment
Ability to deal with unresolved situations, frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Able to start and persist with specific courses of action while exhibiting high motivation and a sense of urgency
Other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering or equivalent preferred.
Two (2) years of manufacturing experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
PC skills including Windows, MS Work, MS Excel, MS access or related software.
Creative problem-solving ability and strong communication skills.
Must be a team player that can work efficiently under minimal supervision.
Ability to function and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
