PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Perform production support functions. Meet the daily production support requirements deadline by preparing and operating cardboard bailing equipment. Ensuring the proper sorting and organization of recyclable materials and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the safe operation and monitoring of cardboard baling equipment.
- Sort and load cardboard materials into machine
- Operate machine to compress cardboard into bales
- Wire tie compressed bales before removal from machine
- Remove bales from machine and stage for transport
- Ensure the bales meet company standards
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures while operating equipment
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment and area.
- Coordinate with the production and warehouse departments.
- Actively seek ways to improve processes.
- Perform any other related job duties as assigned by the area supervisor or lead.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or shipping environment.
- Prior Machine operating experience
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
JUDGEMENT/REASONING ABILITY:
- Able to quickly resolve or escalate problems that arise.
