PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Warehouse Operator 2 will be responsible for the inventory accuracy of parts, dealing directly with warehouse and management internal and external to Quanta. The person is expected to research inventory discrepancies and identify root causes, and help drive process improvements. Ensure parts are transacted in SAP, labeled and packaged according to specification. Complete stocking functions and update QWMS.
Perform production support functions. Meet the daily production support requirements deadline by efficiently transferring and compiling parts. Ensure parts are transacted in SAP, labeled and packaged according to specification. Complete stocking functions and update QWMS. Schedule movements both internal to facility and for shipping / receiving.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify accuracy of cycle counts for area including generating, counting and reconciling inventory.
- Reviews cycle count data and analyzes discrepancies.
- Pick and kit high value parts for orders
- Schedule, in a timely manner, the receiving and delivery of raw materials/finished.
- Executing inventory transactions in SAP system.
- Completes all documentation regarding goods received, noting shortages, damage and exceptions.
- File documents (hard copy and electronic)
- Identifies root causes of inventory variances and helps drive process improvements.
- Instructs and trains personnel, internal and external, in proper procedures.
- Prepares and executes physical inventories for area
- Responsible for reading, understanding and following work instructions pertaining to the tasks of picking, transacting, cycle count and inventory.
- Perform in a cross-functional environment, coordinating with other departments such Quality, Warehouse, and Materials.
- Pick and prepare parts in an efficient manner, meeting internal incremental deadlines.
- Build and pack out shipments, assuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Communicate professionally via email with Program Manager, Department Manager, Supervisor and customer contacts regarding the status of parts and shipments.
- Coordinate with offsite personnel for cycle count and inventory as necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Forklift certified, tasks include unloading shuttles, delivering JIT, pull replen orders.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum 2-3 years experience in a warehouse setting and a minimum of one year of inventory-control related experience.
- Must be proficient with Outlook & Excel and have basic SAP knowledge
- High school diploma required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Knowledge of electronics is preferred.
- Computer literate in a Windows Environment; Excel, Word, Power Point, Internet.
