POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Director of Construction Operations will lead the day-to-day operations of the construction department, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate is a seasoned construction professional with a proven track record in managing large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects. This role requires strategic planning, leadership, and strong operational acumen to drive efficiency, safety, and profitability across all construction activities.
What You'll Do :
- Lead and manage all construction operations, including project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution.
- Oversee a team of project managers, superintendents, and site staff to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Develop and implement operational processes and best practices to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align construction strategies with overall company objectives.
- Ensure all projects meet safety, regulatory, and compliance standards.
- Review and approve project budgets, contracts, and schedules.
- Monitor project performance metrics (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in construction methods, technology, and workforce training.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, resource plans, and workforce strategies.
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Handle high-level problem solving and conflict resolution on active projects.
