Position Summary
The Benefits Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Company's benefit initiatives. This position involves administering various benefit programs, interpreting agreements, and ensuring effective contract distribution. You will also serve as a knowledgeable resource for employees, guiding them in understanding and utilizing benefit and wellness policies. Occasional domestic travel may be required.
Essential Skills and Functions
- Interpret and apply benefit policies and programs, addressing routine inquiries from employees and external parties regarding benefit-related matters.
- Assist in the formulation of effective benefit policies and procedures.
- Help prepare and disseminate informative written and verbal materials to keep employees up to date on benefits and related policies.
- Contribute to the upkeep of ADP-HWSE, ensuring it reflects any changes in plan design, cost structure, or contract details.
- Coordinate adjustments in ADP systems (Enterprise & HWSE), including position management tasks.
- Participate in benefit and 401(k) audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and facilitating accurate information exchange between HRIS, Benefits, and Payroll departments.
- Contribute to the completion of annual 5500 forms, ensuring adherence to DOL and ERISA guidelines.
- Assist in developing, distributing, and maintaining benefits information for new hires.
- Prepare reports, presentations, business communications, and data summaries, both regularly and as needed.
- Engage with all levels of management, union personnel, contractors, and on-site customers.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold a professional demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to ISO and OHSAS policies, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety awareness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
