Quanta US is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Team Lead to oversee the quality control process of our Italian Dry Cured Meat line. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest product quality and food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a USDA facility, preferably with some experience in meat production. Knowledge of safe food handling and USDA regulations is essential for maintaining our high standards of sanitation and adherence to HACCP principles.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the FSQA Manager in ensuring the Company has the highest product quality and food safety.
- Directly supervise FSQA technicians and coordinate their activities with assistance from the FSQA Manager.
- Responsible for implementing SQF Program protocols and standards.
- Work with the FSQA Manager to maintain the HACCP program and all associated records, including monitoring CCPs.
- Ensure all records and documents for SQF, HACCP, and pre-requisite programs are properly organized and maintained.
- Follow up on maintenance requests generated.
- Document sanitation requests needed.
- Oversee the sanitation of the facility and ensure proper sanitation protocols are followed to maintain a clean environment daily.
- Perform pre-operational and operational inspections.
- Perform chemical titrations to ensure accuracy.
- Interact with USDA on any NRs and other concerns of inspectors.
- Responsible for internal pest control programs supplementing outside pest control programs.
- Coordinate internal audits (GMP, glass, and brittle plastic).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a biological science with 3 years' experience in a USDA RTE facility.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
- HACCP certified.
