JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a knowledgeable Desktop Support Technician with strong customer service skills in the Owensboro area. Our technicians interact with agency users both remotely and in person, making customer service just as essential as technical expertise.
Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift and carry heavy objects or work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods. Candidates should also have at least 1-2 years of experience in desktop support (preferred), including but not limited to installation, troubleshooting, and repair in a Windows-based environment. Additionally, candidates must possess basic network troubleshooting skills.
LOCATION: Owensboro, KY
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support to agency users both remotely and in person.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software in a Windows-based environment.
- Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, and peripheral device issues.
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
- Ensure excellent customer service by effectively communicating with end users.
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and asset tracking.
- Transport, lift, and set up equipment as needed, sometimes in uncomfortable positions for extended periods.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of experience in desktop support, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and related hardware/software support.
- Basic network troubleshooting knowledge.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
