We're currently seeking one Server Administrator for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Commonwealth Office of Technology’s Division of Platform Services.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Windows server team is looking for a new team member. The position title is Server Administrator. This will be a low to mid-level position. The server admin will need to have IT experience (preferably 2-5 years on servers), troubleshooting, and be eager to learn.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- A history of resolving security vulnerabilities and supporting security incident response.
- History of supporting servers in a VMware environment.
- Strong experience troubleshooting Server OS issues.
- Experience with windows SQL clusters.
- Ability to support .NET IIS applications.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Project management or leadership skills.
- Ability to work well with multiple teams to solve issues and advance projects.
- Initiative to take ownership of problems and see them through to the resolution.
- Technical documentation skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Nessus/Tenable security scan review and remediation.
- Incident response support.
- Automation tool builds and support.
- Field Server support/travel required.

- Part of server on call rotation.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
