We are seeking an experienced Azure Solutions Architect to join our client, a major company specialized in renewable energy. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and implementing Azure solutions, specifically within the Trading and Energy sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services and the ability to collaborate effectively with Infrastructure and Network engineers to resolve connectivity and authentication issues. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our renewable energy initiatives, including solar, wind, and battery technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Azure-based solutions to support Trading and Energy operations.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and Network engineers to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and authentication issues.
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation and best practices for Azure solutions.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of Azure solutions.
- Lead the migration of on-premises systems to Azure.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and industry trends.
- Support renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage solutions.
- Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Job Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and implementing Azure solutions.
- Verifiable working experience in the Trading and Marketing Energy sector, including renewables such as solar, wind, and batteries.
- Proven track record of successfully interfacing with Infrastructure and Network engineers.
- Strong knowledge of DNS, Active Directory, PKI, Kubernetes, Reverse Proxy, WAF, Networking, Azure DevOps, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with security best practices in Azure, including containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- The ability to serve as a Solution Architect, providing guidance to the business on building applications that adhere to market-leading design standards as well as Engie’s internal design standards.
- Familiarity with securing both applications and infrastructure, including:
- Ensuring robust security controls and compliance standards are in place (e.g., IAM, network security groups, encryption).
- Collaborating with security teams to meet industry and internal regulations.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Network, Azure Storage, and Azure SQL Database.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification AZ-104 (mandatory), and AZ-400 is highly recommended for this position.
Salary : $120,000 - $200,000
