ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for aircraft cabin cleaning, to include: vacuuming and cleaning by hand of all seats, seat back pockets, floors, pantries, galleys, toilets, telephones, windows, flight deck (if specified), and passenger & crew compartments; removing trash; wiping tables; and clearing waste from aircraft.
- Performs cabin dressing, to include: arranging seat belts; replacing head rests, pillow covers, & seat back pocket items; restocking toilet items and blankets/duvets; and disinfecting/deodorizing aircraft as specified.
- Correct handling of international garbage as required by the company, carrier, and the Department of Agriculture.
- Ensures all QAS and customer safety standards are met and maintained.
- Provides timely service for on-time departures.
- Responds to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Compliance with all applicable environmental laws and permits.
- Performs other duties assigned by QAS management.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be at-least 18 years of age or, older
- Reliable Transportation
- Must be professional and alert at all times.
- Must be able to pass required background and clearance requirements.
- Successful completion of required airport badging process and pre-employment drug screening.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit, bend (vacuum); use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak clearly and hear efficiently.
- Must be able to work in areas with limited (or restricted) space.
- Must be able to work with a variety of cleaning chemicals (with the appropriate PPE).
- Must be able to ascend/descent stairs adjacent to a 50-foot jet bridge.
- Must have good communication skills when dealing with passengers.
- Must be able to keep all information confidential.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Potential exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
- Must meet dress code requirements based on QAS and/or customer standards.
- Noise level in the work environment may be excessive at times.
- Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during irregular operations. Flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays.
