Quantic Paktron has an immediate opening for a Quality Technician. Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Quality Technician will provide quality assurance support to the production and operations team, performing inspections and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process, and other potential issues, to ensure products meet specifications.

Quantic Paktron has an immediate opening for a Quality Technician. Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Quality Technician will provide quality assurance support to the production and operations team, performing inspections and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process, and other potential issues, to ensure products meet specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Performs incoming inspection, special process screening, and any other duties assigned.
- Determines sample sizes and performs standard electrical testing processes on a variety of equipment and records and analyzes results.
- Performs physical attribute measurements and checks for cosmetic defects and records results.
- Records data from mechanical and electrical testing in standard formats.
- Program CNC Vision System for the inspection of parts to specifications. Assist in designing inspection holding fixtures for the CNC Vision System.
- Perform in-process checks of product throughout production processes.
- Receive customer complaints, perform verification and issuing RMA’s to the customer. Log customer complaints. Perform inspection and tests on customer returned parts. Complete root cause analysis to resolve customer complaints and communicate the results to the customer.
- Lead and assist in supplier quality problem investigations. Communicate with suppliers on quality related concerns. Log and track supplier responses.
- Assists technical teams with recommendations to resolve testing problems, roadblocks, or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing.
- Assists with technical product development testing and documentation.
- Conduct internal quality audits and actively participate in external 3rd party audits.
- May recommend changes in testing methods or equipment changes.
- Maintain calibration documentation.
- Generate Certificates of Conformance for shipments.
- Assist as backup resource for shipping and receiving as needed.
Criteria For success:

- Prior experience with military and/or ISO 9000 standards desired
- Ability to set up and use test equipment and measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, multimeters, megohmmeters, and precision impedance meters.
- Ability to produce formal test and analysis reports.
- Knowledge and understanding of scientific notation.
- Experience with database management
- Experience with use of problem-solving tools such as Pareto, Ishikawa diagram, 8D, 5 Why, or DMAIC
- Professional, self-motivated, and focused on continual improvement.
- Strong work ethic and results-focused—actively searches for solutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in electronic or electrical testing and quality assurance.
- Associate Degree in related field or equivalent education and experience.
- General office and manufacturing environment.

- Requires manual dexterity and ability to see and manipulate small objects.
