Position Summary:
As Quantic Evans experiences significant growth—we are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Sales Operations Manager to lead our inside sales operations, streamline processes, and oversee key aspects of the supply chain. This foundational role will report directly to the General Manager and play a pivotal part in scaling our internal operations to match the evolving demands of our expanding customer base, distribution network, and strategic sales initiatives.
The Sales Operations Manager will lead the inside sales team, manage purchasing, and coordinate cross-functional alignment to ensure smooth execution from order to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Operations Management and Leadership
· Lead and develop the inside sales team, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and strong customer focus.
· Serve as a centralized point of contact for customer inquiries, order status, and distributor/rep support.
· Partner closely with the Business Development Manager and external sales representatives to support strategic accounts.
Sales Process Optimization
· Streamline workflows for quoting, order management, and customer communications to improve efficiency and scalability.
· Drive continuous improvement in internal sales tools and processes using Acumatica, Salesforce, and other platforms.
Pricing & Execution
· Ensure visibility and consistent execution of strategic pricing structures across direct, distributor, and rep channels.
· Partner with finance and sales leadership to maintain pricing integrity and monitor margin performance.
Channel Support & Performance
· Strengthen support to distributor and rep networks (e.g., Mouser, Future, Richardson), ensuring timely access to tools, materials, and pricing.
· Develop tools and reporting to track and demonstrate rep ROI and overall channel effectiveness.
Forecasting & Demand Planning
· Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Engineering to develop robust demand forecasts and production plans.
· Ensure cross-functional alignment to improve lead time management and support new product introductions.
Supply Chain & Purchasing Management
· Oversee purchasing and material planning functions to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective procurement.
· Monitor supplier performance metrics and help drive vendor consolidation and supply chain resiliency.
· Partner with operations and engineering to support materials availability for production and NPI efforts.
Data Analysis & Reporting
· Utilize data from Acumatica, Salesforce, and other systems to generate actionable insights and support strategic decisions.
· Track key metrics such as order cycle time, forecast accuracy, quote conversion, and purchasing performance.
Requirements

· Distributor and rep channel engagement is strong, with measurable ROI from channel investments.
· Pricing is consistently executed and visible across platforms, improving margin control and competitiveness.
· Strong cross-functional collaboration contributes to smoother product launches and more agile demand planning.
· Reporting and KPIs are used to make proactive, data-driven decisions that support scalable growth.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
· Minimum 5 years' experience in Sales Operations, technical sales, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry.
· Proven experience managing and leading a team to exceed goals while creating a positive and supportive culture.
· Strong understanding of capacitors or related electronic components preferred.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
· Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools, including familiarity with how to manage and optimize them.
· Strong understanding of sales strategies, processes, and methodologies to improve efficiency and productivity.
· Ability to analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
· Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, track progress, and meet deadlines.
· Knowledge of data management, Excel (advanced), and reporting tools.
· Ability to problem solve and identify issues and offer solutions to optimize the sales cycle and processes.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This is a hybrid role in which the position operates primarily in a professional office environment. When on-site this position will be in an office environment within a manufacturing facility.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
· The role may require occasional visits to the production floor, which may involve exposure to machinery, noise, and manufacturing processes.
· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, perform computer work, and communicate effectively in person and electronically.
· Some lifting of office materials (up to 25 lbs) may be required on occasion.
· Occasional travel (less than 20%) may be required to other Quantic company facilities, support customer visits, supplier meetings, or industry events.
