What are the responsibilities and job description for the QEC theorists and QEC software developers position at Quantinuum?
- Work directly with other theorists and experimentalists to understand the trapped-ion QCCD quantum computer architecture
- Construct professional grade software tools for QEC research including: code discovery, fault propagation, gate synthesis, error detection, decoding, high-level algorithm performance
- Develop quantum error correction codes optimized for our hardware and inform future designs
- Help inform system level requirements (error rates, classical computing requirements, etc.) to enable efficient error correction
- Work with algorithm developers to find early uses for error correction concepts
- Communicate ground-breaking results both internally and externally through publications and presentations
