Job summary

The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in the efficient management of the Warehouse, Packaging Operations, and Export operations.

Summary of essential job functions

• This job includes the following duties and any other as assigned by current manager:
• To ensure Total Customer Satisfaction
• Ensure all safety rules and regulations are continually observed and followed.
• Responsible for continued safety inspections and awareness.
• Ensure the orderly and efficient storage and handling of goods, and the maintenance of the storage location system.
• Oversee the safe operation of the FFS Line, Including the head unit, palletizer and hooder.
• Oversee all communications between external customers and all internal Quantix divisions to ensure the expeditious handling of all customer orders, requests, "special" requirements, and other needs.
• Maintain Quantix standards of housekeeping inside and outside of the warehouse.
• Complete and distribute appropriate incident and nonconformance reports as required. Maintain a positive attitude in all dealings with customers and other Quantix employees.
• Assist in hiring, terminating, and training of Warehouse Associates.
• Assist in all phases of associate relations.
• Assist in developing and monitoring productivity improvements to ensure cost effective management.
• Ensure the accurate collection of productivity data and manage productivity via appropriate management information systems.
• Ensure the timely and efficient shipment of the clients' orders.
• Supervise building security, sanitation/safety programs, and building/equipment maintenance.
• Train and supervise emergency fire and disaster teams.
• Assist in purchasing and maintain supplies of warehouse materials.
• Assist in the planning, coordinating, and execution of physical inventories.
• Assist in developing and monitoring the forecast and scheduling of bookings, railcars, and line production. Assist in annual reviews for all subordinate associates.
• Direct and oversee the daily movement of containers and railcars. Strive for continuous process improvement.

Position Responsibilities

All employees have a Responsible Care responsibility to themselves, their families, fellow workers, community, and employer. While accepting this responsibility in the performance of their duties, they shall be expected to observe EHS;S or RC rules. A Safe Workplace is reached only when employees remain keenly alert to their Responsible Care responsibilities. They shall fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Give full support to the Quantix EHS;S process (or RCP).
• Ensure the execution of Quantix. EHS;S processes (or RCP). Support and follow implementation plan for all EHS;S (or RCP) processes.
• Ensure employees receive required EHS;S Training and maintain documentation
• Follow and ensure implementation of all applicable EHS regulations.
• Assist as needed Auditing and monitoring implementation and execution of this process throughout Quantix.
• Jointly with other members of management, support our Responsible Care Mission Statement.
• Ensure that Responsible Care concerns are given primary consideration in all activities completed at Quantix.
• Set an excellent example for other personnel by using and supporting all safe work practices.
• Procure and support the required time and resources for management of the EHS;S (or RCP) Program.
• Ensure the timely reporting of Incidents as required by internal policy and applicable laws and regulations.
• With the Senior Executive Team and QA/RC team, establish Responsible Care-related goals and objectives and ensure they are met.
• Audit the performance of direct reports for completion of Responsible Care related goals and objectives.
• Ensure that housekeeping standards are developed and met.
• Ensure all employees are fully committed to, and actively participate in, the EHS;S (or RCP) Program.
• Report the status of EHS;S (or RCP) activities, goals, and objectives to corporate management.
