Job description:
QCi is seeking to hire a highly-motivated individual who will help support a variety of day-to-day purchasing, operational and logistics tasks, in addition to various uncommon tasks that arise at our startup. This position will primarily be responsible for:
Purchasing
- Coordinate and enact hardware purchases based on internal requests
- Maintain records of purchases, invoices, and receipts, for monthly accounting
- Obtain quotes and generate purchase orders, including for custom components
- Maintain relationships with domestic and international vendors
- Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers or supply chains when needed
- Able to comfortably carry or lift up to 50 lbs
- Accept and deliver incoming shipments to the recipient
- Track incoming shipments, resolving issues or delays
- Coordinate with building management for larger freight deliveries
- Safely package and ship outgoing technology for domestic and international delivery
- Generating shipping labels, collect packing lists, certificates of origin, file for EEI
- Coordinate drop-offs and pick-ups with carriers (FedEx, DHL)
- Communicate tracking information with recipients, monitor delivery status
- Book travel, hotels, and event registrations, especially for small groups at conferences
- Coordinate shipment and delivery timing of large-scale conference banners, booths
- Monitor and restock trade show material inventory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and diligent record keeping
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and proactively follow up
- Experience with international shipping and customs documentation
- Experience in procurement and vendor management
- Desire to “wear many hats” at a startup company
