Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and the ability to operate delivery vehicles efficiently.
Duties
- Safely drive delivery vehicles to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Navigate assigned routes effectively, making timely deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal operating conditions.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues that may arise.
- Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed during the loading and unloading processes.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience with warehouse operations and equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts is advantageous.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
