Dispatcher/Operations Manager

The purpose of this position is to hire and supervise Delivery Associates, manage fleet, and manage day-to-day business operations.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, supervise, and review the work of Delivery Associates (DA) responsible for delivering packages.

• Partner with Vehicle Rentals and repairs shops to ensure availability and repairs of vehicles for assigned routes.

• Prepare for morning standup, load out, and closing.

• Partner with team members to achieve Weee weekly performance incentive bonus.

• Dispatch Delivery Associates and direct and assist DA on the road

• Partner with team to solve on the road issues.

• Act as a communication liaison through the communication system and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road.

• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.

• Manage unemployment claims, workers' compensation claims, and third-party insurance claims

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Weee programs and policies in the Communication Center

• Hire Delivery Associates and process background checks.

• Conduct performance reviews on DAs when requested.

• Manage and process payroll (enter new hires and make corrections)

• Executive other assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Tech savvy and knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area

• Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations

• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential

• Leadership experience is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
