Quantum Environmental is an established and growing environmental testing company. We're expanding our team to meet the increased demand for our services in the wake of recent disasters. This temporary role could lead to a permanent position.
Quantum Environmental is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Environmental Technicians!
We are an established and growing company responding to the recent wildfires. This temporary position offers a pathway to a permanent role for the right candidate.
In this role, you will:
- Collect environmental samples from homes in and around wildfire-affected areas.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of your work.
- Ensure samples are properly handled and transported for laboratory analysis.
Ideal candidates possess:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A strong commitment to providing high-quality work.
- Previous experience in environmental sampling (preferred, but not required).
To be considered for a permanent position, you will need to:
- Obtain state certifications in lead and asbestos sampling.
- Successfully pass the State Certification (CSST) exam.
While the initial cost of training and exams is your responsibility, we offer reimbursement upon obtaining state certification.

Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to arrive at job site on time and fit for duty.
- Ability to prepare reports using good notes
- Must a valid California drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Must maintain a clean DMV driving record and provide it upon request.
- Most field work would be in the Los Angeles/Orange/San Bernardino/Ventura area.
Desired Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, public health or Environmental studies.
- Experience conducting CBP, mold, asbestos and lead-based paint inspections
- Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training
- Cal/OSHA Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) Certification (Preferred, not required at time of employment)
- CDPH Sampling Technician License (Preferred, not required at time of employment)

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
