About the role
The Pharmacy Services Coordinator provides day-to-day non-clinical support of the Pharmacy products. The position is responsible for the communication, activation, and successful resolution of program-defined opportunities to optimize member’s medication therapy. This will require coordination with internal clinicians, external providers, and members’ health plan partners to enhance the member experience and support program operations.
What you’ll do
- Manage member, provider, and partner communications, including; outbound/inbound triage of communication, utilize telephonic, secure messaging, etc. communication
- Provide technical and process expertise necessary to support action consistent with the defined outcomes of the product
- Translate relevant expertise to promote maximization of pharmacy benefits and answer related questions
- Identify and resolve related barriers to ensure continuity of member’s care
- Promote a positive experience for those engaged
- Manage and execute the prioritization of assigned tasks
- Generate and provide education on the benefits of the pharmacy solutions for fellow employees
- Utilize internal applications to review assigned tasks and document all activities
- Support the collection, analysis, and delivery of client reporting, as required
- Educate and coach team members on how to resolve issues, when appropriate
- Educate Pod members regarding Pharmacy operations
- Identify trends with issues and errors and notify Management
What you’ll bring
- Licensure/Certifications: Current unrestricted license as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Ohio preferred
- Pharmacy experience required, including retail pharmacy, mail order pharmacy, PBM, or equivalent
- Experience with specialty pharmacy and related therapies strongly preferred
- Experience with assessment and/or application of pharmacy benefits preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively with a diverse group including clinical staff, non-clinical staff, members, providers, and partners
- Ability to influence others through education with energy and compassion
- Exceptional critical thinker with strong analytical skills
- Possess excellent time management skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and self-directed with limited need for day to day supervision
- Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
