About The Role
As a Welder/Pipe Fitter at Quantum Industrial Services, you will be responsible for welding and fitting piping systems with precision and quality workmanship. This role requires at least four years of welding experience and certifications in ASME Section IX for stainless and carbon steel unless hired for a specific project. You’ll work with construction documents, including plans and shop drawings, to complete installations on time and within budget. Additional responsibilities include ensuring fire safety, attending weekly safety meetings, maintaining tools and equipment, and keeping job sites organized. What You'll Do
- All projects must be constructed with VO quality workmanship.
- All projects must be completed to the customer’s approval and acceptance within budget and time allowed.
- Arrive at the jobsite on time, ready to work with tools and safety equipment. Make arrangements for carpooling if possible. If necessary, crews will work beyond 3:30 if progress of project is behind or if situations arise that require additional attention.
- Attend weekly safety meetings and work in a safe manner every day to prevent injuries or accidents.
- Complete timecard on a daily basis with accurate job numbers, cost codes, and hours. Turn into jobsite superintendent or foreman every Monday for review.
- Responsible for daily jobsite cleanup and keeping inventory in trailers organized. Secure tools and materials on site. Maintain and service tools and welders or report repair issues to shop.
- Must be able to read construction documents it: plans, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Provide adequate fire safety and wear PPE at all times.
- Assist co-workers for on-the-job training and reach safety practices. Be a positive influence.
- Keep welding certificate current.
- 4 years welding experience.
- Certifications in ASME Section IX – stainless and carbon steel unless hired for specific project only.
- Must be approved through workforce committee.
