About the Job
Quantum manufacturing operates as a progressive all-purpose manufacturing plant in Auburn Hills, MI. We manufacture details and assemblies for various industries, including automotive, aerospace, aircraft, military, vintage auto racing, medical, and industrial. Our resources include a 22-machine CNC department, quality lab, and engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining centers
- Determining and setting up in-process inspection at machine side
- Completing first article inspection when required
- Collaborating with management and engineering teams to optimize machining processes and improve production efficiency
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with 3-4th axis experience (5th axis with 3 2 is preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficient in operating and programming CNC machines
- Experience with G&M-code and/or CAD/CAM Master Cam
- Knowledge of various machining materials and tools
- Ability to create fixtures and work holding jigs
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine and tooling issues
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent
