Job Title: Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
Location: Remote (United States)

Summary:
Quantum Movement is looking for a talented and driven Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to lead the development and optimization of our full-stack application. In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and maintain scalable, user-centric solutions that align with our mission of revolutionizing athletic performance and recovery.

As the first full-time Software Engineering hire, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our technical infrastructure. You’ll define the scope of the role, establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), lead the design of our technical architecture, and lay the groundwork for scaling the engineering team. 

We’re seeking a candidate with a preference for experience in industries like computer vision, SaaS healthcare products, healthcare, or biofeedback to align with our innovative mission. Strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset are essential for driving both our product and company forward.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain the full stack of our application, from backend infrastructure to front-end interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Optimize application performance, ensuring a seamless user experience across devices.
  • Build scalable and secure APIs to support integration with our hardware solutions.
  • Maintain and improve code quality, organization, and automation pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing with team members.
  • Establish best practices for software development, including DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Play a leadership role in growing and managing a team of engineers.
Qualifications:
  • 5 years of professional experience as a full-stack developer in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in Rust and C .
  • Experience with backend frameworks like NestJS and front-end libraries like React.
  • Familiarity with desktop applications using Tauri and web versions powered by WebAssembly.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Proficiency in relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL).
  • Expertise in building and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, DevOps principles, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of working well within multidisciplinary teams.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with IoT or hardware-software integrations.
  • Familiarity with data visualization libraries or tools.
  • Background in biomechanics, healthcare, or movement motion capture or related fields.
  • Previous experience in an early stage startup
