The Project Manager is responsible for supervising a wide range of heavy construction projects from start to finish and producing accurate and timely bid estimates. The successful employee will have a background in project financials, management, logistics, field supervision and estimating. The employee is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of product, supply, and subcontractor prices as well as the company’s operating capabilities to ensure accurate estimates.

EXPECTATIONS OF THIS POSITION
- Performs all aspects of bidding process, including reviewing invitations to bid, pre-site inspections, preparing estimates and arranging bid bonds.
- Submit accurate bids in a timely and effective manner. Meet deadlines of requesting party.
- Collaborates with Owners and Engineers to meet contract specifications and manage changes/corrections as needed.
- Works with vendors, suppliers, purchasing and production staff to maintain good understanding of resource availability and scheduling.
- Pre-Installation/Service: review contracts, write up new job information, coordinate utility locates, obtain, and determine placement of material on job site, write subcontracts and change orders.
- Provides valuable engineering ideas that may improve the company’s competitive position. Establishes the company as a “subject matter expert” within the market.
- Stays abreast and current on product, vendors, sub-contractors, and other suppliers’ prices to ensure accurate estimates. Continuously sources for new products and/or vendors capable of advancing company goals.
- Ensures new products or vendors are qualified, tested and/or approved to be reliable before utilizing.
- Increases customer base by pursuing and obtaining new business.
- Communicate to appropriate parties any problem areas and work to find immediate resolution.
- Post Installation: arrange inspections, submit warranty reports, monitor payment and/or collection needs, and perform walk-throughs.
- Analyzes awarded bids for estimating accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of relevant experience in project management and / or civil construction estimating or related area.
- CM/CE Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Knowledge of HCSS Software (preferred.)
- Attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Salary : $110,000 - $145,000
