Mission
The Force Tracking Mission Management Center (FT MMC) Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure and resilient network architectures, ensuring compliance with government security policies and procedures while optimizing performance across multiple systems.
Responsibilities
Configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and related services for a Cisco environment.Design, configure and implement VPNs in a multi-vendor environment. Identify, diagnose, and resolves network problems. Monitor and maintain all levels of network security internally and externally Assist in the creation and maintaining of comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
Required Skills And Qualifications
Five years of technical experience in networking technologies and multiple aspects of telecommunications network architecture for private and commercially available applications.Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret / SCI Clearance Possess experience in network integration, network interoperability, network implementation, or network protocols. Must possess Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher. DoD 8570 IAT II (CompTIA Security CE) or higher. Five years of experience with enterprise network design and sustainment, to include routing, switching, data center, and cloud technology areas. To include ability to design network topology. Excellent IP networking fundamentals and experience in the application and troubleshooting of IP protocols. Experience working within the parameters detailed via DISA STIGs. Understanding of the solution life cycle from inception to operation. Strong technical documentation skills both in written and diagram form. Demonstrated ability to perform troubleshooting in complex network environments. Experience with Cisco IOS. Ability to influence others and identify best solutions among many stakeholders. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to break down and communicate complex issues, ideas and solutions. Ability to establish and track metrics related to key performance objectives and service levels. Have excellent verbal and written communication skill and strong problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Software-Defined Networking (SDN) (e.g., Cisco ACI, VMware NSX) Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) tuning and optimization Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) IPv6 deployment and troubleshooting Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) Understanding of Network Access Control (NAC) solutions (e.g., Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass) Threat hunting & network forensics Experience with firewall rule tuning & security hardening Experience with NetFlow, sFlow, or IPFIX Deep packet inspection (DPI) tools Familiarity with Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools
Security Clearance Requirement
This position requires an active DoD Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI) security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
