Mission :
Quantum is currently seeking a qualified Senior Analyst / Staff Synchronization Officer (SSO) to serve in support of the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) G-8 Force Development Materiel Readiness division (FDM) at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. The Senior Analyst / SSO will support the Mobility and Force Protection programs.
Current SECRET clearance required.
This position will support the G-8 Force Development Materiel Readiness Division (FDM) on a daily basis in the following capacity :
Responsibilities :
- Have a depth of knowledge of how the Army runs, how the various organizations within the Army interact, and what policies have been enacted in the past as well as thinking strategically how best to support the Army.
- Coordinate with other Army and ACOM staffs to present information for use by senior officers on the Army staff and other agencies as appropriate.
- Provide an assessment of transformation and equipping initiatives and fielding planning and execution and analyze and evaluate Active and Reserve Component (RC) equipping.
- Provide G-8 the knowledge base and source of information regarding the Army equipping needed to prepare input for the Army Campaign Plan (ACP) updates to the CSA.
- As G8 1225.06 action officer, primary analyst for all matters related to the transfer of equipment from the ARNG and USAR to the ARMY in support of foreign military affairs.
- Assists in the establishment of policies, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for accounting, procuring, and distributing items of new and combat-serviceable equipment for the Reserve Components (RCs) of the Army.
- Outlines the expectation for transparency and accountability of RC equipment as identified in the Commission on the National Guard and Reserves.
- Helps ensure the ARNG and USAR are equipped to provide the operational capabilities and strategic depth required of an operational force in accordance with DoDD1200.17 (Reference (g)).
- Helps manage proposals for withdrawals, reductions, or loans of any equipment from the RCs, together with an equipment replacement plan for the removed equipment and a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signed by both the losing and gaining components, shall be forwarded for Secretary of Defense approval.
