About The Role
The General Counsel will lead all legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs for our client. As the company’s chief legal advisor, this executive will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and supporting business growth within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal and state healthcare laws, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and telehealth regulations.
- Lead contract negotiations, including strategic partnerships, vendor agreements, and M&A activities.
- Develop legal risk mitigation strategies and manage disputes, litigation, and regulatory investigations.
- Oversee HIPAA compliance, data protection, and cybersecurity.
- Advise executive leadership and the board of directors on corporate governance, regulatory filings, and risk management.
- Track healthcare policy changes, regulatory shifts, and digital health trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Extensive experience in healthcare law, compliance, and regulatory affairs.
- Proven track record in managing complex legal and regulatory matters.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and risk management skills.
- Familiarity with digital healthcare and telehealth is highly preferred.
