What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior IT Manager position at Quantum-Si?
QSI is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Senior IT Manager to join our team. The Senior IT Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our information technology and computer systems. You’ll lead a small team responsible for supporting end users, managing our network and lab infrastructure, and maintaining critical enterprise applications such as Microsoft 365 and NetSuite. Your expertise will be essential in driving efficiency, security, and innovation.
This position is a technical, hands-on role, providing comprehensive IT support at all levels and will report directly to the Senior Director, Information Technology.
As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be :
- Manage Information Technology and Computer Systems :
o Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our company’s computing infrastructure.
o Ensure all employees have the necessary technology tools (e.g., laptops, software) to perform their jobs effectively.
o Manage projects, timelines, commitments, and expectations.
o Recruit, train, and coach IT team members, including contractors.
o Communicate job expectations and appraise performance.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement IT systems, policies, and procedures.
o Coordinate system maintenance, upgrades and enhancements.
o Safeguard data integrity, network access, and backup systems.
o Act in alignment with user needs and organizational policies.
o Proactively identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.
o Conduct system audits and assess outcomes.
o Assist with managing the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
o Operate day to day activities that support the team while at the same time provide prudent cost-effective approaches.

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is : $135,000 - $165,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
