Quantum Systems Inc. is a global leader in aerial intelligence and autonomous, AI-powered aerial robotics. We design, develop, manufacture and deliver eVTOL Unmanned Aircraft Systems UAS and an ecosystem of related products and services. Our business directly addresses the Defense and Security markets in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. We currently have an opening for Buyer II. This position will report to the Supply Chain Manager.
The Buyer II will manage the procurement of goods and services to support company operations and product development. This role involves overseeing material acquisition, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely availability of supplies to meet production demands.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and procure assigned commodities to align with production schedules and operational needs.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to ensure cost-effective purchasing while reducing lead times, inventory levels, and material costs.
- Collaborate with all departments to address material availability and pricing inquiries.
- Act as a point of contact between manufacturing, supply chain, and suppliers to resolve material-related issues efficiently.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives by analyzing supplier performance and working with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Provide insights on supplier capabilities and material availability to product development teams.
- Improve lead times for purchased materials to enhance flexibility and responsiveness.
- Assist with new product introduction proposals and pricing coordination for new components.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor market trends, such as supply chain risks and material obsolescence, to inform procurement strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in procurement within the aerospace industry, demonstrating expertise in contract negotiation, cost management, and material planning.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in material planning and scheduling methods, such as MRP.
- Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that align with business goals.
- Have a strong understanding of commercial and FAR/DFAR procurement rules, regulations and documentation.
- U.S Citizenship/Background check required.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
