A / V Technician - Site Lead QTI Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), Cuba

Based in the high-tech hub of Huntsville, Alabama, Quantum Technologies, Inc. (QTI) specializes in professional audio, video, and control systems. We provide design, build, installation, and project management, and have long established ourselves as a leader in the professional and commercial AV field. QTI leverages decades of experience in design and integration.
Our work includes corporate boardrooms, conference centers, command / ops centers, and federal courtrooms. We work with multiple governmental agencies including the DoJ, OMC, DoD, and private sector. Our in-house sales, installation, and service team has overseen the installation of AV systems in hundreds of courtrooms in the United States and its territories.
Mission :
Quantum Technologies Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to provide continuous on-site support as an AV technician and work in support of the 911 Detainee Trials in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. Individual will test and troubleshoot audio-video systems and make repairs or repair assessments back to the Huntsville manager.

Responsibilities :
The day-to-day environment at the Cuba site will involve working either on-site in the Court Room or in an office setting.This position holds responsibility for all aspects of support and potential installation of audio, video, and control systems, as well as related site matters.The successful candidate should be flexible and capable of leading. Potential duties may include site management of speaker and cabling installation, soldering, crimping, and rack building, monitoring trial activities, as well as on-site scheduling. The technician is expected to maintain communication with superiors and co-workers at the corporate headquarters.The technician will conduct on-site customer training and will be assigned other duties as necessary. A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills are essential qualities for this role.Time management skills, adaptability to changing situations, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are valuable attributes. Common physical demands include pulling wire and cable through conduits, lifting heavy loads, working on ladders, and scaffolding, and operating in confined spaces such as under tables or in equipment closets.Requirements :
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's degree in Electronics or a related field is desired.An active Top-Secret Clearance is required, and the individual should have the ability to maintain it.The individual should have a comprehensive and thorough understanding of audio / video components and systems, including control systems, IR, distribution systems, etc. Good oral and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities, are necessary. Attention to detail is crucial. Experience with hand tools, soldering irons, and good mechanical aptitude is desired. Experience with audio / video concepts is highly beneficial.The contract for this position requires a minimum of three years' experience working with Crestron, For The Record (FTR), Biamp, Extron, Cisco / Polycom, Shure microphones, Diamante Writer, and equipment used by courtroom translators.Experience in installing AV systems in federal or state courts is preferred.A minimum of three years of experience in courtroom AV support is required.Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informantLI-MM1
