Our client is looking to hire a Traffic Design Engineer. This person will be a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. They will also work independently and as part of a larger team in order to work toward common goals in serving clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our client is looking to hire a Traffic Design Engineer. This person will be a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. They will also work independently and as part of a larger team in order to work toward common goals in serving clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise Junior Engineers, EITs, and CAD technicians
- Provide detailed design and calculations in support of signed and sealed plan sheets
- Provide preliminary layouts, specifications, quantities and final plan sheets
- Train and mentor less experienced engineers
- Coordinate and work closely with all project disciplines
- Manage project design schedules, budgets, and scope
- Responsible for project quality control
- Coordinate with the client and is responsible for meeting client schedules and budgets
- Traffic signals
- Illumination
- ITS
- Signing
- Pavement Markings
- Intersection Improvements
- Traffic operational analysis studies
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
- 5 years of experience of designing transportation projects in the Civil Engineering field
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MicroStation/Open Roads and Geopak
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Able to lead and manage junior staff
- Proficiency in Open Roads Designer (ORD)
- Precertification in TxDOT work categories
