The Teaching Co-Director plays a critical role in the overall management of the Quarry Hill School
program. Working alongside our Teaching Director and teaching team, the Teaching Co-Director
supports the delivery of high standards of quality early education, provides teacher support, and
ensures parent engagement. The Teaching Co-Director also contributes to program development, staff
training, and the daily operations of the school.
Salary: Compensation starts at 50k, includes paid vacation, PTO and retirement benefits.
Key Responsibilities- in collaboration with the Teaching Director and the Administrative team:
- Co-lead the program, ensuring alignment with the school’s vision and goals.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive culture among staff, children, and families.
- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of dedicated educators.
- Assist in developing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Support and guide staff professional development, including training and performance
evaluations.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, compliance with state regulations,
and health & safety standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing
communication and support as needed.
- Participate in program assessment and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications-
- At least one of the of the following preferred: a degree in Early Childhood Education or
Child Development, ECE teaching license or related credentials
- At least 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with prior leadership
experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood
pedagogy.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of state regulations and licensing requirements for early childhood programs.
