What are the responsibilities and job description for the GroundKeeper position at Quarterdeck Resort?
- Ensures cleanliness of resort parking lot Sweep, and/or shovel to maintain parking lot.
- Ensures timely removal of all exterior garbage – exterior cans around property and other garbage in the hotel.
- Maintains grassy area – cut grass with mower, rake or use blower to take care of debris. Water as needed.
- Maintains all plants on resort property – Watering any plant containers and hanging baskets. Assisting with flower maintenance seasonally.
- Maintains beach area by raking sandy area, keeping any outside tables and chairs neat and secure.
- Maintains and cleans outside pool area as needed.
- Assist Maintenance Department when needed.
- Assists with exterior lighting replacement as needed.
- Assists with maintaining the exterior appearance of the property.
- Assists with the loading and unloading of supplies weighing over 40 pounds.
- Additional duties may be added as needed.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to read, speak, write and understand the primary language of the workplace.
EXPERIENCE: Previous groundskeeping experience in a hotel or commercial building preferred.
PHYSICAL: Requires lifting of up to 60 pounds on a regular and continuing basis. Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, climbing, walking, repetitive motions, listening ability, visual acuity and good speaking skills.
