We are seeking a highly motivated and eager to learn candidate for a Data Analyst position. This role will support our client onsite in Houston TX. The ideal candidate will have the ability to understand, analyze and document the flow of data through the application as well as how the application uses and transforms the data to resolve instances of data corruption due to system errors or user input errors. Also, will have the ability to write and group together corrective SQL statements to restore data to its original or natural state to allow the application and end user to continue business processes. Understanding of data analysis, visualization, and interpretation, along with the ability to leverage advanced tools and techniques to drive actionable insights for our organization will be key as the role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, understanding business requirements, and transforming raw data into meaningful reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
This Data Analyst position is part of the IT team and will interact directly with the customer and end users while researching data flow and reconciliation issues as well as providing results to frequent ad hoc requests for data in support of customer operations and transaction/financial reconciliation. Growth can lead into a Jr DBA or Data Architect role.

- Stay updated with the latest developments in data analytics, BI, and OAC technologies.
- Recommend improvements to existing processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Provide training and support to team members as needed.
- Work closely with business users and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
- Present findings and insights to non-technical audiences clearly and persuasively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data analysis efforts with organizational goals.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools, focusing on user experience and ease of understanding.
- Create data visualizations that effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in BI solutions.
- Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or experience with other tools
- Utilize OAC tools and features to design, develop, and deploy analytics solutions.
- Configure and maintain OAC environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate OAC with other data sources and applications.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support business strategies.
- Clean, transform, and preprocess data for analysis purposes.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3 years of strong Oracle PL/SQL experience
- 3 years of script writing for generating Oracle PL/SQL queries
- 3 years of strong experience fulfilling customer ad-hoc data requests, producing structured/formatted reports
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on Business Intelligence and OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud).
- Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, and OAC technologies).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, or Oracle technologies are a plus.
