The Project Controller is responsible for planning, directing, and reporting on the accounting, budgeting, and financial compliance for all assigned projects. This includes managing accounting processes and records as well as the timely and accurate production of financial reporting to closely monitor and report on the project’s overall financial health.

Job Responsibilities :
Manage Project Finances
Oversee all financial aspects of the project, including :Reporting financialsForecasting (with planner / scheduler)BudgetingMonthly / yearly financial closesAnalyzing budget vs. actualsMonitoring and escalating issues with Estimated at Completion (EAC)Invoicing and accounts receivable managementAnalyzing unplanned costs, margins, or revenue changesCollaborate with Teams
Work with different departments to gather information and establish pricing, task orders, and project details.Control Project Costs
Track and manage project expenses, ensuring they align with the project budget.Maintain Financial Dashboards
Keep financial dashboards updated and accessible for stakeholders and decision-makers.Set Up Task Codes
Establish and manage task codes and assignments for new and ongoing programs.Build Financial Tools
Create financial models to support business goals.Advise on Financial Impact
Work closely with the project manager to provide financial insights on business decisions.Monitor Contracts
Understand and review contracts to avoid breaches and ensure compliance with terms.Revenue Recognition
Apply knowledge of project-based revenue rules (e.g., percent complete, time & material).Work with Stakeholders
Partner with customers, leadership, and management teams for financial coordination.Ensure Accurate Transactions
Implement internal audits and controls to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly and timely.Handle Accounts Payable
Ensure payments are made according to terms and debts are managed.Financial Analysis and Cash Forecasting
Analyze pricing, contracts, and cash flow to ensure liquidity and identify potential issues early.Additional Duties

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience required.3 to 5 years of progressive accounting or project planning, controller experience required.Preferred Education and Experience :
Previous experience in a Project Controller role, preferably in software solutions or professional services.Tolling industry experience preferredCPA or CMA designation preferredBenefits
