What will you do?
As a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Aerospace division in San Diego, you will be helping to lead and grow our electrical engineering capabilities for aerospace applications. You will be leading development of electrical subsystems and/or embedded software for space and airborne applications. You will work with an interdisciplinary team of optical, mechanical, and software engineers to develop creative solutions for a wide variety of applications.
Essential Job Functions:
People Leadership
- Foster team collaboration and high technical performance with a people-first approach
- Mentor, motivate, and develop more junior engineers
- Participate in the hiring process to grow electrical engineering capabilities for aerospace applications
Project & Technical Leadership
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical and optical engineering, to develop fully integrated electrical and electro-optical systems.
- Serve as technical lead for the development of electrical and embedded systems
- Delegate, oversee, and review project work
- Develop and own subsystems as direct contributor
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers
- Contribute to sales efforts by writing proposals, presenting engineering capabilities, and assisting business development team with meeting, conference, and marketing content support
- Support Business Development team in developing and growing client relationships
Research & Development
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and related technologies for aerospace applications.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in electrical systems and development workflows

Position is based in San Diego with a hybrid schedule.*

What are we looking for?
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 6 years of industry experience
- Experience with high level system design for aerospace applications
- History of deploying electronics hardware or software in successful space missions
- Analog/Digital circuit design and simulation
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design for aerospace applications
- FPGA programming experience (VHDL or Verilog)
- Experience developing C/C for microcontrollers and SoCs
- Experience with the Git version control system
- Demonstrated ability to work in and lead a technical team
- Ability to prepare proposals and presentations and assist with sales meetings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to compellingly present technical information to groups
- Experience developing business proposals and/or support sales organization to win and develop new business
- Familiarity with NASA mission risk classifications and ability to derive electronics hardware and testing requirements from high level mission requirements.
- Must be US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)
Compensation and Benefits
Senior Electrical Engineer pay range: $114,609– $187,270 *
*This pay range represents base pay. In addition, you may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
