We are looking for a Digital Strategist to manage the creation, optimization and execution of all client online marketing initiatives. Candidate will report to the agency partners to develop the company’s online marketing service offerings. Candidate will also work directly with the client management team in developing innovative online marketing strategies to meet and exceed our clients’ business objectives. This position requires a “hands-on” manager as well as someone that has excellent business development capabilities.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate must be able to translate big-picture, strategic thinking into actionable recommendations that maximize results through the online channel. Candidate will have a thorough understanding of all digital channel solutions including : Web and Mobile Sites, Paid Search (PPC), Organic Search (SEO), Targeted Display, Affiliate, Mobile, Social Media, and other digital media, including the technical aspects that supports program implementation.

a.  Act as agency leader for the development of all digital strategy and business growth opportunities through the online channel :

i)    Define Quattro Direct’s digital marketing service offering, strategies and tactics so that they are aligned with the company’s business objectives

ii)   Communicate your vision to all key agency stakeholders and foster collaboration in the fulfillment of your plan

iii) Determine which services and resources can be developed and managed in-house versus using outside resources to : a.) optimize profit margins, and b.) support business growth

iv) Develop a balanced short term vs. long term plan for agency business growth

v)   Present a business update to partners and account directors on a monthly basis

b.  Actively seek new business opportunities that expand the scope of all current client engagements and win new clients :

i)    Develop a strong understanding of our client’s products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives

ii)   Support account teams in the identification, prioritization and scoping of client opportunities that build additional revenue streams for the client and agency

iii) Lead and facilitate brainstorming sessions focused on markets, product, delivery, process and ROI.

iv) Act as the chief architect of all online marketing proposals, delivery strategy, testing strategy, forecast, and planning

v)   Create program proposals that include process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to effectively conceptualize digital initiatives

vi) Source all suppliers (or use client-designated suppliers) securing estimates, bids and negotiate final price and schedule

c.   Develop agency’s competency in all online marketing activities :

i)    Continually seek, present and implement new technologies, methods, digital tools, channels, etc.

ii)   Advise and educate account teams on strategic approach, key tactics, best practices, measurement requirements and evolving trends.

d.  Closely manage project plans, scope of work, and delivery timelines to ensure all programs are delivered on schedule, on budget and to specification :

i)    Provide oversight and expertise in all phases of program deliverables so that we exceed customers’ and prospects’ expectations

ii)   Be responsible for all client budgets and ensure they are being spent effectively

iii) Gather all applicable metric data to contribute insightful analysis to make effective, data-driven recommendations for campaign optimization and improvements across all online marketing channels

iv) Ensure efficient and comprehensive quality assurance measures throughout every step of the program

v)   Gather and analyze all client performance and activities for use in monthly and quarterly business reviews

vi) Attend weekly / monthly client meetings and status update meetings, as required

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Marketing or a related field
  • Must possess 7 years of experience in a digital marketing or ecommerce field, with proven ability to drive consistently impactful results
  • Expert knowledge of Google Adwords, Microsoft Ad Center, Omniture, Commission Junction and / or the Google Affiliate network
  • Google AdWords Qualification a plus
  • Experience in other media formats and direct marketing a plus
  • Must be a power user of Excel and other MS Office applications
  • General HTML, CSS, JavaScript and technology infrastructure knowledge
  • Exceptional copy writing and editorial skills
  • Experience with bid management and reporting tools such as acquisio, Omniture (Adobe), Click Equations, or Marin is a plus
  • Previous experience managing affiliate programs, including affiliate recruitment and execution of marketing programs to increase affiliate activity
  • Demonstrated track record of setting strategy, implementing and managing online marketing campaigns.

  • Must possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess time management skills and be able to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and establish (and re-establish) priorities for self and team
  • Must be available and willing to work extended hours as occasionally needed during peak periods of activity
