Description: The successful candidate will develop and implement applications into the enhanced virtual desktop infrastructure (eVDI).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement applications into eVDI.
- Provide support to eVDI end-users, back-end applications, and infrastructure.
- Work with the network team to optimize resource utilization, capture network performance, and resolve networking issues.
- Offer hardware, operating system, and system administration support for enterprise IT services, including software scripting, installation, provisioning, and configuration.
Required Skills:
- Maintain organization's network diagrams and accreditations.
- Resolve complex network problems related to eVDI.
- Implement, integrate, and maintain systems architecture in Citrix environments on Windows, UNIX, and Linux systems.
- Collaborate with developers and DBAs to integrate applications into eVDI.
- Perform software scripting, installation, provisioning, and configuration.
- Prepare hardware and system designs for updates to eVDI.
- Provide support for eVDI, including troubleshooting, repairing, monitoring, and testing.
- Offer Tier 2 and Tier 3 support to Citrix end-users.
- Collaborate with engineers on systems integration efforts.
- Optimize system operations, resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Conduct data captures to obtain network performance information.
- Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements, including load-balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and network address translation.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Platform Engineer is required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or a related field is necessary.
- Alternatively, 4 years of additional platform engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, totaling 14 years.
- 5 years of experience with Linux, Unix, and Shell programming are essential.
- 2 years of experience with Enterprise Hosting Platforms, Service Applications, and Enterprise Data Centers are required.
- 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher is mandatory.
